I Bet Remy will be walking by 9 months. Remy turned 6 months on October 8th, and he is already doing this...

Long time, no Talk.

Hey all I am really sorry that I have been bad and not posting like I know I should. These last few months have been good!

Remy is now officially moving! Not quite crawling but pretty darn close Jeff and I call it inch worming. He hasn't quite figured out how to use his hands and his feet at the same time. He is 18 lbs now! My little chubby boy is so cute, and he talks or Jabbers alot. loves to make sounds. He is rolling over constantly! It is so exciting to watch him reach his milestones early!

Jeff is still at Icon working, he might be getting promoted soon so Yay! He is also back in school this semester, I am hoping that everything will work out smoothly for his schedule. I think I will try and convince him to actually post something on here one of these days.

I am taking a hiatus from school this semester Remy is still to small to have me comfortable with taking classes. Next semester I am going back! Just got to find a good way to either entertain Remy in class or find a baby sitter.

2 Months

Remy got his shots today. It was sad, he cried allot. On a happier note he is now 12.5 lbs and in the 75th % for weight. The doctor say's he is well ahead of the game on his vocalizations which is really cool! All in all it was a good visit.

We are looking for a new apartment and the going has been tough. Not many places in Logan allow pets, and Jeff and I are not really wanting to lose wally and felix.

Jeff has been working at his new job for Icon for a few weeks now and really likes it. He gets to drive 3 different types of forklift. He seemed to be very happy about this fact. He loves all of the machines he runs.

bath time!

Yesterday I got to give remy a real bath for the first time. ^_^ We have been giving him sponge baths, and he hates them. I thought that he would hate these baths too, but he didn't even cry once. he seemed to really like it... till we were done and I pulled him out. I wrapped him in a towel to dry him off and he started crying. It was really cute.

Ok, so late last night all our baby wanted was to be held. There was no such thing as sleep for us, and remy would only sleep as long as he was being held a certain way. It's the best sleeping position ever! you'll love this photo.

He has Arrived

Ok so I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to tell if it was really labor! (how do you know if you have never done it before?) I was seriously hopeing and praying for something obvious to happen so that I would "know" it was "real" labor. (I joked with Jeff that pregnant women's belly buttons should turn bright green to let them know they are in labor, just like green on a stop light say's go.. haha)

Well funny story, I was being lazy one morning and my water broke! (Thank you to the powers that be for making it obvious, I needed it!) so we went to the hospital 9 1/2 hours, and an epidural later He was born!

Late Check Out...

Looks like Hotel Womb was just far too comfortable for the baby, he has opted for the late check out. Playing the waiting game is all there is left to do. I was pretty surprised to find out that about 70% of first time moms deliver late... It's not too bad either. The only thing that is bothering me is people who keep calling, texting, and facebooking me everyday asking "is the baby out yet?" when you have the same 12 people asking you that question every day it gets annoying. I know people are just excited but at least pretend to care how I feel first please... and stop asking every day! every 3 day's is ok... understand I will tell everyone when he arrives!!! I'm not going to keep something like this a secret...

thats enough of my soap box... Just needed to vent. Most people have been really good, it's just those few people (you know who you are!!!) most of whom probably don't even read this blog. sad..

Most Inconvenient

So earlier I did a post about when the most convenient time for this baby to arrive would be... well that day came and went, and I am still pregnant. It was just as everyone told me it would be "babies never come when it's most convenient" Well now I know.

Jeff and I started talking yesterday about the most Inconvenient time for this baby to arrive, and realized that it's this week on Wednesday the 24th. I have tons of papers and projects due Thursday and Friday this week and more assignments due early next week. After realizing all this we then had a moment of "Crap! Now that we know, and talked about it. We have probably jinxed ourselves!" Hopefully someone will tell me "Jess babies don't come when it's most inconvenient either" and that will be the truth of it.

If this baby does come this week, he grounded till he married...

Not unscathed!

I have gone through my pregnancy with out one stretch mark having most people who knew telling me "I hate you" (jokeingly of course) I thought I might actually make it through unscathed by this little badge of pregnancy. This morning with only 2 and a half weeks to go I finally found one! it is very small and by noon I had 10 they are all small and barely noticeable but they are there! SO close!

Kidney stones....

Yet another testement to how "not normal" this pregnancy has been.... I have Kidney stones at 36 weeks. We went to the hospital this moring at about 5 am I was in tremendous pain, and had no Idea what could be causeing this. Jeff said very seriously "I think you have kidney stones dear" I of course was thinking " I don't care what it is just make it stop". The Doctor had them order an Ultrasound of my kidney and sure enough there they were Kidney Stones! Oh great was all I could think at that moment. They sent me home a few hours later with some meds and instructions on what to do about it and to come back if things don't improve in the next few days.
So far this is the third "not normal" thing that has happened and oddly enough they have all happened in their own trimester.

First Trimester - Apendicidis at 8 weeks pregnant.
Second Trimester - Mastitis at 25 weeks pregnant.
Third Trimester - Kidney stones at 36 weeks pregnant.

Go figure... I wonder what this means about my kid.

Baby Stuff!

I think I have finally chosen how the babies room will be. I don't want to move anything anymore. we have also found that the kitties love the crib! We have had to fill the crib with everything we can so that the cats will stay out. We have had the baby showers and gotten all the gifts in the mail. I thought these pictures might be fun.

Hazards of doing dishes

So today Jeff was doing dishes and one of our glasses had a chip in the edge, as he was cleaning it it broke and sliced open the skin on his knuckle. He immediately yelled for me to grab a towel and that we needed to go to the hospital so he could get stitches. Then he wouldn't allow me to see it. so naturally I thought it was really bad, and rushed to get keys for the car to head to the hospital. He then say's to me " I will let you see it as long as you don't freak out and, I want you to take a picture of it." He shows me and it's not very big just deep and I can see the tendon. so now I am not as worried and take him to the instacare. He got 5 stitches. Here is the picture he begged me to take.

Week 34!

I have just ended week 34, and here is another picture to show off the belly.

I had a doctors appointment where they did another ultrasound to determine size and some other stuff. Baby is approimately (according to the ultrasound) 5lbs. I was told that ultrasound aren't always accurate on weight of the fetus, they are usually on the low side, meaning our baby could be bigger. He is right in the average range though, so that's really good! Jeff has been using one of the ultra sound photos as a books mark, you'll never guess which one... yep that's right the photo of the testies!

Putting the nursery together, has been... um... a chore? I have moved furniture around at least 4 times... I really hate this whole nesting thing. Its a good thing we are not allowed to paint the walls in our apartment or I might have gone crazy with colors! For now I am just trying to be content with cleaning/organizing... even that is annoying cause I didn't know I could be such a neat freak, Jeff probably thinks it's really funny, I have been too afraid of the answer to ask though.

School is fun... not really. I have the worst time trying to climb the flight of stairs that get me to my English class. Other than that though school is fine. Jeff is spending his time either writing more of his novel or working which is great! That seems to be all that is really going on at the moment.

The Car!

Ok so This last week we got a new car! our old car has been threatening to die on us... I would go get in the car to go to class and it wouldn't start, making me late on a regular basis! having a car that wont always start is a bad thing when you are pregnant and about to have a baby to take car of. hence the new car. it is a 2006 Nissan Altima... here is a photo.

Sick and Sicker

So this last few weeks Jeff and I have been sick... It started with him getting sick and miserable, his worst symptom was congestion he absolutely hated it, and just as he was getting over it I was thinking it would be cool if I didn't catch it and 2 day's later guess what?! I got the same cold, it's a really bad one! Just as I thought I had gotten over it, it came back with a vengeance now I am back in bouts of coughing and not being able to talk at all. I hate being sick!

Ok so Jeff and I have been talking and we had decided that we will be narrowing down the baby names poll by one name every week or 2 so that we can hopefully narrow it down to the 2 best names, if we come up with any more we will ad them too, so keep voting. we have noticed that no one likes Wyatt so it will be disappearing soon... remember any names that you might like or even name spellings that might be helpful comment them on here. like instead of just Remy it can be Remington and we would just call him Remy for short... those kinds of things. Thanks for the help!

A Matter of Convenience...

Is it bad that I have just started thinking of ways that would be really convenient for me to have my baby?

If I have the baby in March 13-21 (thats Spring Break). Then that would be really convenient, I wouldn't have to miss any school, he would be sitting at 38 weeks and that is technically full term...

I know you probably think I am terrible, but I really don't have a say in when he shows up =P

Getting big!

I think I might be crazy!

I know, I have been really bad about up dating this blog in the last few weeks, and I am going to fix that. We will play catch up. I am a bum and forgot my camera so there are no cool pictures =( sorry.

Christmas, We went down to Jeff's Dad's to spend the holidays with family... Nothing all too impressive, just talked and played games mostly it's the perfect kind of vacation (as lazy as could be). I got to play a new game called Banana Grams which was awesome and I think I will be going a getting it soon to add to our game stash. I spent a night in the hospital. The doctor flat out told me "I have never seen this before" I guess that just goes to show that me and normal just aren't friends.

New years, We spent it at Wayne's watching "Shawshank Redemption"... Apparently every one thought it was a complete travesty that I had never seen this movie, so they went out of their way to rent it and have me watch it... it was really good. We toasted in the new year with sparkling cider in fancy glasses, then we all went to sleep. I think midnight is the limit on sleep deprivation.

Now that we are caught up, School Starts on the 11th and Yes I am being crazy and attending this semester even with 100% surety that our baby will be born a month or so before finals... I know, it's nuts, but I know I can do it.
